SUMMARY 
Duvel Moortgat USA is seeking an energetic and highly motivated analyst to join our finance team. The Financial Analyst will support Duvel USA – the organization that markets and sells our beers and beverages, as well as our brewery production facilities and organizations: Boulevard Brewing Company in Kansas City, MO and Brewery Ommegang in Cooperstown, NY. 
 
This role will own responsibilities focusing mostly on costs and spends throughout our organization. The Financial Analyst maintains and analyzes our brewery costing models – ensuring malts, hops, cans, bottles, lids, cartons, labor, and overheads are appropriately accounted for each of our beers and beverages. In addition to costing models, this role budgets, forecasts, and reports actual vs expected results for our brewery operating expenses, as well as our marketing spends. This role also owns our monthly management-view financial consolidation process and provides analysis and commentary on the results to various business leaders across our organization. Ultimately, this role is an integral part of our efforts to ensure profitability and business success. 
 
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Analyzes and maintains the brewery production Cost to Make (CTM) models, including updates to recipes for existing beers, updates to costs of raw materials, and building ground-up recipes for potential new beverages with direction from production team
  • Assist in R&D process by calculating profitability for potential new products, with inputs from CTM model, as well as Sales for customer-facing pricing
  • Performs analysis, forecasting, planning and budgeting activities while proactively working with business leaders to ensure accuracy
  • Maintains, updates and publishes various business reports
  • Works with leadership across the organization to review and challenge pricing, labor, costs, efficiencies and profitability
  • Generate ad-hoc reports for the sales, marketing and production teams as needed
  • Build, modify, and accurately publish key reporting, 
  • Other duties and ad hoc projects as needed
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business or related field
  • 3+ years progressive experience working in finance, accounting, forecasting or analysis-based roles in a manufacturing or CPG environment. Bev-Alc experience is a huge plus
  • Demonstrated experience working with business leaders to reduce cost or increase profitability
  • Expert skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, nested if statements, and more
  • Intermediate experience using and manipulating database data, procedures and queries (MS Access, MS SQL Server)
  • Experience with Tableau or other data visualization software is a plus, but not required
